The Oxford Comma: Not the solution to all our grammar problems…
I know this is going to piss off a lot of English majors, but I really don’t give a fuck about an Oxford comma. I used to swear by it and abhor all writing that had naked ands and buts (lol, naked buts), but several years of journalistic writing beat that out of me. Now I go back and forth, depending on context. The main thing for me is that I be consistent within a single piece of writing, not that I follow some arbitrary universal rule.
